Background and Experience
Malcolm is a warm and genuine clinician with over 25 years of experience in public and
private psychiatric hospitals, NGOs, justice centres, and private practice.
Malcolm specialises in helping people navigate life’s challenges with personalised, research-
backed therapy. He provides a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space. He has extensive
experience working with a broad range of clients from many different backgrounds. A
considerable amount of his work has been devoted to supporting men’s mental health
across the lifespan. He has expertise in working with people experiencing anxiety,
depression, and interpersonal difficulties.
Malcolm believes that everyone is an individual who brings their own experiences, beliefs,
and values into the therapeutic arena. Everyone goes through difficult times in their lives,
and it is during these times that meeting with a clinical psychologist can help. By engaging in
meaningful and honest conversations, you may find greater peace and reduce your current
pain and suffering. Malcolm brings warmth, empathy, curiosity, and understanding to every
session.

helping to make people’s lives be as they would wish them to be.
Therapeutic Approach
Malcolm is dedicated to learning about people’s’ experiences, their values, and their strengths. He has trained in evidence-based mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches to psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance
and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and he is a certified Dialectical Behaviour Therapist (DBT).
He is certified to work with couples and individuals using an Emotion-Focused Therapy approach. Malcolm is a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and ADHD Specialist. Malcolm has completed professional development in culturally competent
therapy with Muslim clients.
